The Resources Sharepoint

Resources iconThis sharepoint houses various school resources. For example, the "Staff Folder" inside the Resources sharepoint contains numerous templates for filling out the PBES forms.

They can place documents (e.g., worksheets, Internet links, templates) into that folder so that students can get copies of them. Teachers may also ask for your own "Drop Boxes" here that students can put things into, but not open, so that students can turn things in electronically.

Basically, the "Resources" sharepoint is like a bulletin board: a place for posting items that everyone (students and staff) can read. When you log into a school computer, you are usually connected automatically to the Resources sharepoint. Look for its icon on the desktop or in My Computer (Windows).

Of course, only the appropriate persons can put things into the Resources sharepoint. For example, the English Department folder contains a resume template. Any student can open a copy of it, but no student can delete or change the original template; they can only open and change their own copy. They also can not save the copy they open back into the English Department folder; they can save it into their own Documents folder.
