Robotic VEX Competition
Western High School’s all-female, rookie Robotics Team swept the Baltimore City Public Schools Robotic VEX Competition at Morgan State University on December 13t to win five trophies, including Champion Robot Alliance and the Rookie All-Star Award.
The day-long VEX Bridge Battle Robotics Competition, a component of the international "Bridge Battle, included 24 teams between eight BCPSS schools. This competition is a unique game based on the popular VEX’ Robotics Design System that puts students' engineering and technology skills to the test as they aim to build the most innovative robots possible and work together to obtain the most points possible.
This was Western’s first Robotics competition and bodes well for them as they enter the building phase of the upcoming FIRST Robotics Chesapeake Regional Competition.
