U.S. News & World Report Award

America's Best High Schools 2009U.S. News & World Report's December 15-22, 2008 issue named Western one of its "2009 America's Best High Schools." Western earned a Bronze Medal in the U.S. News rankings, which selected only 1,942 schools for recognition out of 21,069 public high schools in 48 states. The U.S. News analysis used data from the 2006-2007 school year.
