Dunbar Vex Competition

On Saturday November 22, the Western High School Robotics Team competed at the Dunbar High School Vex competition against 24 teams from around the region. The Robo-Doves dominated early, with an undefeated 6 and 0 record in the qualifying matches earning them the number one rank going into elimination.

At the end of the day, Western had racked up 4 trophies, twice as many as any other team. The Robo-Doves took home a Finalist trophy, the Programming Skills Championship, a special Judge's Award for excellence in engineering and technical expertise, and an overall Excellence Award for showing strength in all levels of the competition.

The Programming Skills Championship earned Western an invitation to the Vex World Championship in Dallas this spring. Congratulations to the Robo-Doves Robotics Team #2528.
