After the traumatic tragedy of losing his mother, he quit high school to support his three sisters. Formally known as Frizell "Pee Wee" Gray, he began to hang out on the streets of West Baltimore, became a gang leader, and a teenage father. He decided to turn his life around. His integrity excels through is inspirational and motivating words. He progressed from a radio announcer to a congressman to the president of the NAACP. He is a living example of a person who redirected his life to make a difference in this world. That's why Kweisi Mfume is My Champion of Courage.
