Chemistry Mentos Experiment
Students in Ms. Yench's chemistry classes performed the famous Mentos Experiment on Halloween. Using a variety of soda flavors, they introduced Mentos candies into the large bottles.
Mentos, which have microscopic crevasses on their surfaces, create a huge surface area for the formation of gases. In the soda, the gas forms rapidly on the candies, and, as it escapes, carries the soda to great heights!
