Black History Month
Western's observance of Black History Month culminated in an assembly on February 28, 2008. "Carter G. Woodson and the Origins of Multiculturalism" was the day's theme.
The program featured numerous student performers of choral and instrumental music, poetry, dance, essay, and dramatic reading. Students were also treated to storytelling by guest griot Ms. Shindana Cooper.
