Senior Farewell
Western bid farewell to the Class of 2005 on June 1. Seniors, dressed in traditional white, processed into the auditorium to the accompaniment of the Western Band.
Class President Nicole Clarke addressed the school and presented the Class Banner to Principal McLaurin. The Class recited its pledge and sang the class song, "For You We Will."
Guest speaker Pam Love, a Western alumna, delivered an address to the class. The program, in Western tradition, featured performances by members of the senior class, including: dramatic readings by Janae Evans and Jasmine Davis; musical selections by Jessica Wills, Kelly Venable, Christen Brown, and the Western Band (conducted by Geneva Pope); and dances by the Senior Dance Troupe.
In another Western tradition, seniors recapped their days at Western in the "Halls of Ivy" portion of the program.
Class Advisors Rosalind Davis, Robert Ragin, Monteece Jones, and Landa McLaurin gave farewell remarks to the class they have assisted through its years at Western.
