Foreign Language Week
March 21, 2003
The kick-off for Foreign Language Week , March 17-21,2003, was celebrated at Western High School with an assembly. Language students in French, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish performed dances, skits, dramatic readings and songs. Other activities included school-wide morning announcements in the different languages, students from Egypt, Mexico, Africa and Puerto Rico shared their culture with other students, and student- made posters were displayed throughout the building. Kudos to the committee members, Christine Sangare, Lauren Geldart and Margaret Harmon, for planning and executing these excellent activities.
